Should I lay copper under the inductor? PCB Design Guidelines for Low EMI DC/DC Converters

Every switching power supply is a broadband noise source. Therefore, integrating a DC/DC converter in an automotive circuit board network into an automotive control unit while still meeting the EMC requirements of the automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) can be a daunting task. Typically, noise from DC/DC converters and other high-speed circuits radiates through the connected cables, which provide an effective antenna path for the noise. To block this potential radiation path, filter circuits ar....

Constant current source application and multiple circuit design details

A constant current source is a power supply that can provide a constant current to a load, so constant current sources have a wide range of applications and are essential in many cases. For example, when charging a battery with the usual charger, the charging current will be reduced accordingly as the battery terminal voltage gradually increases. In order to ensure constant-current charging, the output voltage of the charger must be increased at any time, but the use of constant-current source charging can ....
