Bourns® SRP3220A Series Shielded Power Inductors with Metal Alloy Powder Cores

September 2, 2025 - Bourns, a globally recognized leader in manufacturing and supplying electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, introduces the new SRP3220A series of shielded power inductors. This series utilizes Bourns' uniquely formulated metal alloy powder core design, capable of handling currents up to 11 A without saturation while maintaining reliable operation in high-temperature environments. Compliant with the automotive-grade AEC-Q200 standard, the SRP3220A series combines a high thermal current rating with a shielded structure that effectively reduces magnetic field radiation. Its performance advantages enhance overall efficiency and thermal stability while meeting stringent automotive temperature requirements, positioning it as Bourns' latest cost-effective and highly efficient automotive power management solution.
The Bourns® SRP3220A series features a space-saving thin profile design with an extended operating temperature range from -55°C to +150°C. Beyond the benefits of its metal alloy powder core, the series employs a flat wiring structure, achieving ultra-low DC resistance (DCR) compared to other shielded power inductors of similar dimensions. Furthermore, its thin package reduces printed circuit board (PCB) footprint, enabling engineers to incorporate additional features or meet tighter space constraints during design.
The new Bourns® SRP3220A series is now available and fully compliant with RoHS* standards. It can be ordered through Bourns' authorized distributor partners.
