Comprehensive Guide to Band-Pass Filters: Principles, Design, Applications, and Loss Optimization

I. What is a Band-Pass Filter? An electrical filter known as a band-pass filter (BPF) attenuates signals at frequencies below and above a given range while permitting signals in that range to pass. In order to ensure that only signals within a specific band can pass, while signals at other frequencies are attenuated or blocked, it combines the features of a low-pass filter, which permits low frequencies to pass, and a high-pass filter, which permits high frequencies to pass. II.Key Parameters of Band Pass....

Implementing Floating Point Algorithms in FPGA or ASICS

Floating point is the most popular data type for modeling and simulating algorithms with high computational accuracy. Traditionally, when you want to deploy these floating-point algorithms to FPGA or ASIC hardware, your only option is to convert each data type in the algorithm to fixed point to save hardware resources and speed up computation. Converting to fixed-point reduces mathematical precision, and sometimes it can be difficult to strike the right balance between word length and mathematical precision....

RJ Connector：Type, Structure and Parameter

Since AT&T first introduced modular connectors, also known as RJ connectors, in the 1960s, they have been widely used in telecom and datacom applications. In order to create what is now known as the Registered Jack (RJ) registration system, which standardizes the wire pattern, signaling characteristics, and physical structure of the connector itself, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) further standardized this interconnect solution in the 1970s. In order to accommodate variations in connection pack....

Why PCB ground and metal chassis with a resistive connection?

Electronics grounding is a clichéd topic, the main content of this article is the metal casing and circuit board grounding issues. We often see some of the system design will be the PCB board ground (GND) and metal enclosure (EGND) between the usual use of a high-voltage capacitor C1 (1 ~ 100nF / 2KV) in parallel with a large resistor R1 (1M) connection. So why this design? Fig. 1 Schematic diagram Figure. 2 Actual PCB The role of capacitors From the EMS (Electromagnetic Immunity) point of view, ....
