SHANGHAI, China, October 28, 2024 - Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723), a global semiconductor solutions provider, today announced that it will once again be present at the 7th China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) with a wide range of advanced solutions for the smart industry, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive electronics and software development platforms. The 7th Fair will be held from November 5th to 10th at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), and Renesas Electronics' booth number is: Hall 4.1, Booth A0-02. Renesas has been actively participating in the Fair for three consecutive years since 2022, and has always been guided by the corporate vision of “To Make Our Lives Easier”, with the aim of contributing to the building of an intelligent and sustainable society in China. This year, Renesas will also bring a number of core products and solutions that are being showcased for the first time in the Chinese market, so let's have a first look (partially):

Industrial

High Power BLDC Motor Control Solution

Based on Renesas' dedicated motor control microcontroller (MCU) RA4T1, the high-power, full-rate-range FOC motor control solution is suitable for a variety of applications such as power tools, home appliances and industrial control. The solution uses magnetic chain observation and high-frequency injection algorithms to support high-speed, low-speed, and zero-rate full-rate-range FOC control, high power output, and high performance such as low noise and smooth control.

RZ/V2H Multi-Classification Target Detection Scheme

Based on RZ/V2H - a high-computing-power quad-core vision AI microprocessor (MPU) with DRP-AI3 (Dynamically Reconfigurable Processor) gas pedal and high-performance real-time processor. Its high-computing-power, low-power feature eliminates the need for cooling fans to handle complex real-time object recognition and inference tasks. Suitable for image processing, dynamic computation required for robotics applications, and applications with complex real-time requirements, it is the ideal microprocessor for applications such as autonomous robots and machine vision in factory automation.

Internet of Things

240W USB PD3.1 Gallium Nitride Total Power Solution

240W total power solution, directly supports USB PD3.1 EPR. USB-PD power supply provides 48V/5A output, utilizing ZVS technology to achieve high efficiency; USB-C charging supports 48V/5A input and corresponds to 7 series battery charging. Provides a total charging solution from “wall to battery”.

Automotive Electronics

Scalable ADAS and Autonomous Driving Development Platform

Based on the R-Car V4 series high-performance system-on-chip (SoC), the total solution for assisted driving and autonomous driving provides up to 60TOPS through chip expansion, and supports a variety of product forms from camera all-in-one to driving and parking all-in-one domain controllers, which meets the needs of customers for a wide range of functions, from L2-level functions to high-speed navigation, urban memory driving, memory parking, and so on.

Software/Development Platform

Electronic product full lifecycle management platform (from Altium - Renesas Electronics completed its acquisition of Altium in August 2024)

Relying on cloud computing technology, Altium empowers software and hardware systems in the manufacturing process of electronic products, helping them to find sources, development links and full lifecycle management, and promoting the comprehensive digitization of key industry processes as well as the overall upgrading and transformation of the electronics industry. The management platform displayed in the Fair will include three main aspects: ELM - empowering enterprises to manage the entire life cycle of electronic products, Altium 365 - helping enterprises to develop agile electronic products and collaborative management, and Octopart - supporting procurement teams to participate in product design decisions.
