August 18, 2025 – Bourns, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, has introduced the PEC04 Series 4 mm incremental miniature encoders, the PEC05 Series 5 mm incremental miniature encoders, and the PEC06 Model 6 mm incremental miniature encoders. These new Bourns® miniature encoders provide position and velocity information, critical for control functions in a variety of electronic applications.

The Bourns® PEC04 Series is designed for today's more compact consumer electronics, such as miniature headsets and smart wearables. The Bourns® PEC05 Series is an ideal incremental encoder solution for mouse wheels, smart appliances, and smart wearables. Additionally, the Bourns® PEC06 micro encoders are ideal for smart home appliances and lamps, helping designers enhance the reliability of the next generation of intelligent devices.
These new micro encoders offer an excellent IP40 dustproof rating, 30k, 50k, and 20k rotational cycle lifespans, respectively, and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. They feature a rugged, compact surface-mount design, a 2-bit quadrature code output, and 360 degrees of continuous mechanical rotation. These features make them ideal for space-constrained consumer electronics designs.
The new Bourns® PEC04, PEC05, and PEC06 series of incremental micro encoders are available now, and all are RoHS* compliant.

It provides two 8-bit parallel input/output ports that can be independently configured as inputs or outputs. By adding this device, a system designer can expand GPIO resources without modifying the microcontroller or processor. It supports interrupt output for input change detection, making it highly suitable for event-driven applications in embedded and indus....
Methods for Eliminating the Load Effect of Passive Low-Pass Filters When Connected to a Load
In electronic circuit design, passive low-pass filters are widely used in signal processing due to their simple structure and low cost. However, when a passive low-pass filter is connected to a load, a load effect often occurs, causing the filter's performance parameters to deviate from the design expectations and affecting signal processing. This article will delve into the principles and impacts of the load effect when a passive low-pass filter is connected to a load, and will detail effective methods for....
